Warm welcome to Lunds VK! Tell us about your thoughts going into this new endeavor.
I’m very happy for this new adventure and I’m curious to know this country, people and your customs. I have the responsibility to return the trust that has been given to me.

What made you choose to come to Lund?
I made the decision to accept Lunds offer because I liked the project and this club. Many calls with Stefan, we talked a lot and I liked the club’s project and their ideas.

What do you expect to contribute to the men’s elite team and to the club in general?
I’m bringing different experiences. With the team I’ll try to play modern volleyball without forcing the team’s attitude. With the club I’ll be working with all the junior coaches to develop their level, if they need, and also try to make a laboratory of ideas for junior volleyball.

What style of volleyball can the fans expect to see Lund’s men’s elite team play in the coming two seasons?
We’ll try to play a modern volleyball with a consistent sideout and a team that is always battling for every point.

What are your strengths as a coach?
I work hard every day, every practice is an important practice. I’m very determined to reach goals that we decided with the club. I like to change drills in practice to give different options to the players so that during matches they will always play in their comfort zone.

How would you describe yourself as a coach using three words?
Determined, engaging, passionate

What is your greatest volleyball memory from your coaching career this far?
I have two greatest memories:

First is the 2017 Champions League FINAL 4, with Berlin Recycling Volleys. We lost the semifinal against Zenit Kazan, and we also lost the 3rd place final against Lube Civitanova. Our fans were always supporting us at the end of each match. It was fantastic and very emotional. I still love them!

2nd memory: Third place at 2018 Lokovolley Juniors Tournament with the Finnish U18 National Team. Finnish best placement ever. We lost the semifinal 2-1 against Russia-2 and we won 2-0 against Serbia in the 3rd place final.
