TOP SCORER SIGNS NEW 2 YEAR CONTRACT
We are happy to announce that our trip to the top league will be with this past season’s top scorer Sara Hansson on the team. Sara has been a leading player on our team all season, and has switched positions from middle to rightside and on to leftside after that… Along the way she managed to score 249 points averaging 4.9 points per set.
For our team it has been one of the top priorities to retain Sara for the coming season, and we are thrilled she has agreed to continue with us. Sara is a leader with how she plays. She always sets a high standard for herself, her coaches and her teammates, and she has been a pillar for this team for several years now.
We asked Sara a few questions after she signed:
– You have just signed a new deal with Lunds VK. What made you commit to the club?
The club and the people in it has a high ambition and a positive attitude which I think influences all the players. That has given me the motivation to put in the effort it takes to play in top league again.
– You have been part of Lunds VK for many years now, but this is the first year with them in the top league, what are your expectations for the team this coming season?
We are newcomers and have nothing to lose. If we can play with this mindset and give it all we have I think we’re going to develop a lot during the season. Hopefully our hard work will lead to positive results in the end.
– Do you have a personal goal that you want to achieve this season?
Obviously I want to develop as much as possible but above all learn to have a constant level, both mentally and physically.
We can’t wait to see how our team will fare next season, but we all feel a lot more safe with Sara on board.
