Match Report Lund VK B – Örkelljunga VK B 05/11/2016

Quo Vadis Lund? This was the question after one loss and one win out of the first two matches. The answer should be found in the next home match against Örkelljunga VK B, a new team whose bigger brother plays in the Eliteserien after all. So therefore, we faced this challenge with a lot of excitement.

Yet, all tension before the match was arbitrary. Örkelljunga presented itself way too unorganized and was not an equal opponent to the local squad. Lund was highly focused and death cold in its attacks so that the sets were won 25-13, 25-11 and even 25-9. Besides the three gained points the positive win from this match was the insight that the lads from Lund learned to keep the tension even if the match is somewhat cooling down. The title as the man of the match went to Lukas Wiener whose passes played a key role for the effective spike rain of Lund.

We are intending to keep the spirit of this match, since we are now facing two difficult away matches defining if we belong to the top of the leaugue. The next home match will take place on the 10th of December when we will face Lunds C-team with all its promising talents. Until then: två, tre LUND!
