2 x 3-0 för Damer A efter höstens första road trip

Lördag 10 oktober

Falköpings VK – Lunds VK 0-3 (18-25, 11-25, 14-25)

Damer A took their 2nd win of the season today Saturday in a dominant performance against FalköpingVK who is expected to be one of the top teams in the league.

From start to finish our girls proved the better team, on a day where we struggled with our own serve-receive, our girls found ways to keep the game going on a positive note. Falköping lacked answers for our serves and aggressive hitting, especially from our middles and rightside. We still have to improve our rhythm in offense and get a higher tempo overall, but we are very satisfied with our progress so far.

In all 3 sets we started out strong, and kept the pressure on our opponents, never giving away any easy points. Top point scorer was Sara Hansson with 12 points including 4 kill blocks. Also scoring double digits was Lovisa Bergh with 11 points and setter, Maja Bach with 10 points including 4 aces.

We are all about team this year, and it was as a team that we won today!

Kungälvs VBK – Lunds VK 0-3 (13-25, 18-25, 18-25)

3rd straight win for Damer A.

Our top women’s team has gotten off to a great start this season with their 3rd straight 3-0(25-13, 25-18, 25-18) win today on the road against Kungälv..

We always love winning, but we also have our own internal goals we want to reach in each game, and today we did not manage to reach the level we expect of ourselves. We simply dropped to the level of our opponents today, making the game full of rallies finish with an error rather than a kill.

On the positive side we had 2 players with their first match for Lunds VK this season, Matilda Gustafsson played defensive libero and finished the game with 6 digs, and Tove Kauppi played the full game as rightside scoring 8 points including 2 aces.

Our serving was our strongest attribute today with 15 aces to only 3 errors, and that’s an incredible skill to have, on a day where we were too slow in offense and our serve-receive again struggled. Game MVP was given by the crowd to our setter Maja Bach who scored 6 points including a block kill and 3 aces. Our top scorer today was Lovisa Bergh with 10 points including 3 aces(this was Lovisa’s 3rd straight match with 10+ points), and our passing Libero Elin Lagersted had a great game with 6 perfect passes on 10 attempts.

Next weekend we are home again and we have a lot to fix before that game.. We do not expect of ourselves to play a perfect game, but we always expect the perfect effort, and we failed to meet that expectation today.
