NEW RISING STAR JOINS LUND
We are very happy to announce that Evelina Jensen has decided to sign a 2 year contract with Lunds VK.
Evelina joins us after 3 years at RIG Falköping where she mainly played as a rightside and serving matchup player. The goal for us in Lund is to develop her as a leftside hitter, and we a thrilled about the ambition and commitment she has shown already during our tryouts and contract talks.
We asked Evelina a few questions after she sign the contract:
– You have just signed a new deal with LundsVK.. What made you commit to the club?
I have decided to join Lund it seems like a very interesting and well organized club. I have heard many great things about the club, and the people here are all super nice. After a phenomenal season last year for this team, all the girls seems extremely excited for what’s ahead and there should be a lot of new challenges with the tough competition. I want to be part of it all, and I immediately felt that Lund was the perfect choice.
– What are your expectations for the team this coming season?
I expect that everyone on the team believes in the program, and that we all always gives 100%. We are new in the top league so I feel there is nothing to lose… With a great team spirit and lost of energy from everyone, I think we can accomplish a lot this season, and I of course hope we can win a few matches along the way. 😉
– Do you have a personal goal that you want to achieve in Lund?
This will be my first year in a real elite club. After 3 years at RIG I hope to further develop physically as well as mentally, and I want to take in as much new information as possible. I have only ever played with players my own age, and I think it will very exciting to have a hance to play with more experienced players as well.
