Warberg – Lund 2×0-3!

Both of the club’s A teams (men and women) played in Varberg this Saturday and both got out with wins!

The girls played one of their best games of the season in a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-15) win against an opportunistic home team.

Our level of focus in the game was very high all game long, and that gave us a clear advantage against Varberg, who at times played well in defense and tried to be aggressive in their hitting, but we came into this game wanting to make a statement, and so we did.

Both blocking, defense, serving and hitting was firing on all cylinders. Of the total 75 points in the 3set win, we scored 51 of them ourselves, and left nothing to change in spite getting all players involved.

Game MVP was Elin Westin who had an 80% kill efficiency on offense today. This was by far Elin’s best game of the season. Top scorer however was Sara Hansson with 13 points in 2 sets.

What a way to respond to last weeks shaky start to 2016.. The streak is now at 13 wins in a row.

Our men’s team also got out with a 3-0 win today, with the final score 21-25, 21-25, 22-25.

The guys are going through a lot of changes here in 2016 with new players, new system and new coaches, and this was their 2nd win in 2016 solidifying their spot in top of division 1.

It wasn’t the best performance of the season, but part of learning new things is also making some mistakes, and today we made too many for our own expectations.

The game MVP was Jonathan Karlsson, and top scorer was Patrick Bertilsson with 15 points.
