Dam A makes statement with big win on Wednesday night against local opponent Svedala B.
It looked like there were some questions that needed to be answered in today’s match after our poor performance and first loss of the season 3 days ago.
Unfortunately for our opponents they stood in our way of redemption, and even though Svedala kept fighting, there was no way we would lose tonight. The result of 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-12) was based on an aggressive mindset in serving and hitting as well as serve-receive, and we took commanding leads early in all 3 sets.
Headcoach Michael Jensen had the following comments after the game; “We still have things we want to improved and we got a wake-up call this weekend… I’m proud of how the girls responded today, after we spend a good time talking about what happened Sunday. It’s always fun to play and we had to remind ourselves of that – to play how we want and to have fun with it.”
Next game is already this Sunday against #2 in the league from RIG, and we expect another great test from and aggressive young team who has everything to win. Game starts at 13.00.
Today’s topscorer was Lovisa Bergh with 16 points, but match MVP went to Elin Albertsson who played her first match of the season after joining us in January. Elin contributed with good serve-receive and lots of defense.
