SWEDISH YOUTH NATIONAL TEAM MIDDLE JOINS LUND
Earlier this week we had the pleasure of announcing one very talented young player joining our team from RIG Falköping.
Now we double up the happiness another rising star joining us in Lunds VK.
Lilly Topic signs with our club and fills an immediate need for our team at the middleblocker position.
Lilly has enjoyed a great development at the RIG program and we are very honored that she has decided to continue her career with us. We asked Lilly a few questions after she signed:
– You have just signed a deal with Lunds VK, having multiple options, what made you commit to this club?
Only hearing positive comments about Lunds VK, I thought that it was worth to explore the club more, and after a few practices and some speculations, I felt that Lunds VK was definitely the club I wanted to sign with. They have a cheerful group of players and an ambitious coach with a lot of experience. Dealing with the fact that this is the first time for the club in the top league, it feels as a fresh start for me and for the club as well, so it felt like the most natural choice.
– What are your expectations for the team this coming season?
Considering the teams was extremely great last season, my expectations is that we will be willing to fight hard to continue that momentum, and most importantly never give up, even though we will be playing in the top league. And having fun! What is the point of playing and developing without enjoying!
– Do you have a personal goal that you want to achieve in Lund?
Of course, I’m have the will and the drive to continue my development after my three years at RIG, not only my physical skills, but also my mentality and as a team player.
